Once again, Peñíscola will become Spain's jazz capital for four days thanks to the 23rd Peñíscola International Jazz Festival, held from 2 to 5 July in the City by the Sea. The festival is an added attraction for visitors who have chosen Peñíscola as their holiday destination, proving that the town offers much more than sun and beaches. Its vibrant cultural scene also comes alive throughout the historic streets of this beautiful Mediterranean destination.

The Peñíscola International Jazz Festival marks the beginning of the summer tourist and music season in the northern part of the Valencian Community. Over four days, it presents an attractive and varied programme that explores the many styles and influences of this universal musical genre. The Valencian Institute of Culture (IVC) supports jazz not only during the festival in Peñíscola but also throughout the year at venues such as the Auditori i Palau de Congressos de Castelló and the Museum of Fine Arts of Castellón.

The festival opens on Thursday, 2 July, with two outstanding performances. At 7:30 pm, Albert Bello & Oriol Saña will launch the festival with a concert blending jazz, swing and Mediterranean musical influences. Later, at 10:30 pm, internationally acclaimed pianist Michel Camilo, one of the world's leading jazz musicians, will take to the stage as one of the headline artists of this year's edition.

The programme continues on Friday, 3 July. At 7:30 pm, the Franco Baggiani Quartet will pay tribute to the legendary Miles Davis with a performance full of energy and creativity. At 10:30 pm, The International Classic Jazz All Stars will close the evening with a concert featuring renowned international musicians performing timeless jazz classics.

On Saturday, 4 July, Sergio Bisbal & BS Community Band will perform at 7:30 pm, presenting a show that combines elegance with a contemporary sound. At 10:30 pm, the acclaimed Jove Big Band Sedajazz will take over the stage, showcasing the remarkable talent of the new generation of Valencian jazz musicians.

The festival comes to an end on Sunday, 5 July, with another exceptional double bill. At 7:30 pm, the Ernie Orts Jazz Quartet will present a concert focused on contemporary jazz. The closing performance, at 10:30 pm, will feature French pianist Thomas Enhco, regarded as one of Europe's most brilliant jazz musicians, bringing the festival to a memorable conclusion.

This outstanding festival is a must for jazz lovers and music enthusiasts alike, filling Peñíscola's summer evenings with rhythm, melodies and unforgettable performances, continuing a tradition that has delighted audiences for many years.
